wedding cars

    I'm in a strange situation(besides getting married)
My wife to be is getting ready for the wedding in the hotel that the ceremony is taking part in. I however am spending the night before at my parents house.
I know that the bride is traditionally meant to get the car but she wont need it, I have to travel 50 miles to the gig and my choice of transport is either a rusty transit van or a diesel opel corsa my mother drives.

I'd love to have a fancy car there (something like a range rover or Austin Martin) if only for the photographs, but would it be wasteful not to use it?

Just want your thoughts, the wedding is in October so that might rule out external photos completely anyway.

I laughed hard when I read that! Go for the van :pac:

Well it seems she will be missing out with the car thing too. I suppose the answer lies in your budget. You could rent a car, that nobody will probably notice (sorry), or you could stay in a b&b near the hotel the night before.

Is that an option? you will need to be well rested for the day, the commute prior might add stress.

I see your point but the mother was very excited about me staying over the night before.
And the annoying thing is that the transit would make more of an impression than a limo ever would (the exhaust is gone and it sounds like a fireworks factory on fire)

:D Aw you are killing me..

Would Mammy not stay in the B&B too? there will have to be a comprimise somewhere.

Have you considered putting wedding ribbon on the transit and try make a running joke of it?

Im sure anyone who knows you would howl laughing because they know you have the transit, and its current state.

That is one do I'd love to gate-crash, you lot sound like a barrel of laughs :)
