    Why?
Because I am knowledgeable enough to see these issues others might not, that I can fix them, that I can enjoy my luger now never having to worry about it f'ing up because I can/have fixed it?

have a nice cup of FAIL

A young skanger woman is being interviewed with her four brats roaming all over the place. Then interviewer becomes curious, as the young mother addresses each of the kids as 'Kevin' when they push too close.

    - Have you named them all Kevin?
    - Yes, it's so much easier.
    - But what if you really need to tell one of them something?
    - Of course then I use their family name...

Q: What do you call a skanger in jail?
    A: Safe

Q: What do you call a skanger in a box?
    A: Init

Q: What do you say to a skanger at work?
A: Big Mac and chips please

Q: What do you call a skanger in a suit?
    A: Guilty

Q: Two skangers in the back of a car and there's no music on, who is driving?
    A: The Police

Q: What do you call a skanger in a dinner jacket?
    A: Waiter

    LOL I

Liamo thats class discrimination, scangers are scangers because we dont give them enough tax money, clearly we are in the wrong.

They need more free well built housing, a nice car, maybe a bit of spending money and a holiday.
Its terrible that anyone with their hard earned taxless nixers on top of the dole should have to choose between fags, booze, coke, car, fines, a few kids (least money spent there) etc.
Anti social behavior is because when I work hard and save to go back to college, I dont give ENOUGH tax to these poor unfortunates.

    For shame liamo.

A burnt fuse burn my fingers!

    The bleedin pain of it.

On a positive note, I can up the fps on a stock spring, even after it wears down, using science ;)

Now my crappy 250 fps spring can be 310 fps with a little engineering :D

But my cackhanded reassembly which I knew wasnt wired correctly burnt out my fuse and fried my fingers.

    Bugger.

Flat bladed fuse and a flat bladed fuse box like this
    In-line_blade_fuse_holder_large.JPG
If the aeg has space to allow it.
Sadly my friends m4 i was working on doesnt have enough space to put one in because its bigger then the plastic cylinder that the m4 has already:(
And yeh blown fuse burn did it to my hand yesterday stung like a mother******

i always use those fuses too, you can bend the blades on the fise t allow it to fit more snuggly around the barrel or wherever you installing it.,

Good idea I never thought of bending the blades but then again I'm one for if it aint broke dont fix it :p
Its the same with upgrading my AEGs I wont unless something breaks:D

    I think its called tempering.

I heated the spring with a little blowtorch 'til it was hot enough to go tssss in water, then dropped it in water, and it went.... tssss

    It was then stiffer.

    Be bloody careful though, you can;

    wreck a good spring.

Go up alot more than you expect.

I have to chuck the spring now, it got too strong, luckily I have another weak spring to bring back up, its a more effective technique than I expected.

It probably isnt long term or good practice, but for these 250 fps springs, I couldn't care less.

Interesting. I had to downgrade one of my AEGs (actually, vtec downgraded another one, because he's a super bloke), and I upped the power back up on both of them a little with rubber washers. One of them showed a definite power increase, the other one... Barely a difference. Not sure why yet.

I made a spacer that was 6-8mm thick, it only added 15 fps.

thats just the same kinda thing as adding washers to the spring guide really,

Yeah, it doesn't really have much effect though, at least not when I tested it.

probably coz it was too thick, if you add a couple of washers it can have a better effect even though its not as thick, reason being that they can spin on eachother pretty easily and that means less resistance on spring so a little more "ummphh".,:)

there's a proven increase when washers are added ,

As richie said they can spin.

I measured about 15 fps with a fixed spacer, I'm just saying its not a huge difference.

In fairness Richie pointed that out to me at the time, about washer spin and the effect of it. I haven't had time to check it out yet, and I think I won't have time this week to have another go. Maybe. I don't want to overstress the gearbox of my M4 CQB, unloved as it is.
