Any one interested in a golf tourney just for poker players ?

I am looking into trying to organize a golf tourney for a bit of crack, Irish poker player v UK poker players over a weekend to also include a poker tourney.
At the Irish open I had a chat with a few of the English pros about this everyone I talked to seemed mad about it.
Maybe I could get some feed back from anyone interested in this.
I have been running a memorial golf tourney for seven years so organizing this won’t be a problem just needs the runners.
I have contacted a couple of the UK pros asking the same and there seems to be a great interest over there.

if my 24 handicap is any good.... i can hack it up somewhere....

used to be a 14 so i can have my moments of brilliance followed by lost balls

yea Paul it's just a bit of crack m8 & of course a game of poker , thinking of doing a 7 k starting stack for poker and a hundred chips for every point you
get in the golf game added?

I hope to get 50 runners ,but i can go with 100 or so have a few courses in mind but depends on numbers , at least 15 from UK interested at the mo , so a wait & see job .

I USED TO BE OFF 6, THO I HAVENT PLAYED IN A WHILE, COUNT ME IN

MY FAVORITE WOULD BE A SCRAMBLE, I WILL HAVE SOME MOMENT OF PURE GENIUS AND THE REST OF MY SQUAD COULD MAKE UP THE DIFF

I CAN DRIVE ABOUT 350-370YDS, SO IF SOMEONE HAS A GOOD SHORT GAME WE COULD DO A NICE JOB ON SOMEONE, MY SHORT GAME WILL BE SHOT TO HELL AT THIS STAGE BUT I WOULD PRACITCE IF I KNEW I WAS GOING TO PLAY,,,,IN SAY 4 MONTHS TIME,,LOL

MY BIGGEST PROBLEM IS THEM SHORT HOLES, ONCE I DRIVE 350, I HAVE TO CHIP BACK TO THE BLOODY PAR 3's

Id be up for this! Some lovely courses down Wicklow way you should look at! Im a bad 11 at the moment and a scramble would be a great idea.

I take it the bad players can use the ladies tees and tee the ball up whenever we want?

I'm presuming it'll be a stableford competition??

i.e the higher your handicap the more points will be added on (this is a good thing!!:D:D)

I would play but I suck tremendously at golf. I used to just pick the ball up and throw it down the fairway when nobody was looking. I've a pretty good throw.

Yea defo the only way it would work , remember its only a bit of crack but (more points more chips for later ).

i'd play - I've never had a proper handicap. I presume somewhere between 18 and 27....

N1 lads looking like 28 IRE player so far ,will post a list at the end of the week ,
waiting for numbers from UK looking about the same .
