    if this is for securing wireless communication, there was analysis carried out on this encryption and it turned out to be a simple XOR operation on each HID code (or something like this)

    maybe it has changed since, but unlikely..

    I just bought the keyboard and mouse and installed the software and noticed this feature,

    if you cut/pasted characters would that bypass keyloggers ?

    Had to laugh, you need a computer to brute force text encrypted with one byte ?? It many cases it would be pretty obvious which character is <space> just by looking at the raw traffic.

    If it's hardware no but if it's installed on the computer maybe if it checks the clipboard .
