The evolutionary biologist and best-selling author of The God Delusion will appear as a guest star in the new series of Doctor Who, which began last night. "People were falling at his feet," says Davies, creator of the BBC's flagship show. "We've had Kylie Minogue on that set, but it was Dawkins people were worshipping."

Oh goody - more guest appearances by people RTD just happens to like. It can't be too long before the TARDIS returns to Albert Square for an all new 3-D adventure..

I love how the article also attributes one of Moffat's creations to RTD. And correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't the cross shaped space station also from a pre-RTD series of Doctor Who?
