Wedding present for best friend

    Hi all

    My best friend is getting married in a couple of weeks and I as planning on giving her money because they're doing lots of house renovations and I know would appreciate the cash. However I would like to get them something nice and thoughtful seeing as she is my best friend! Not planning on spending much money and wouldn't mind making something...

    Any suggestions?

    On a related note, I often give money to close friends for weddings but I'm always stuck as to what to write on the card. It;'s fine for people I know less well and can wish them every happiness in their life together but when you know the bride and groom really well it sounds a bit twee. I'd love suggestions as to what to write.

    I've come up with a great idea myself!! I'm going to buy them a tree! I know this might sound a little bit silly but I know they'll like it!

    As for what to write on the card - well damn it there's something I didn't even think of yet!
