I started a thread about biodegradable bbs recently, and I got some handy links from Lemming. Check out ironfoot.co.uk/shop/ or begadi.com - the second one is a bb specialist but I'm not sure they do shipping to Ireland. Worth asking I suppose.

I asked Tony @ Eirsoft about it since I'd rather buy from an Irish supplier; if enough people ask, he'll stock what we're looking for. I too would like black bbs (biodegradable in my case) in .2 and .25 gram.

I sent him a pm, I think a few people have mentioned it in the past.

Even a once off large order of a few bags per person might make it worth his while.

Countries all over the world are turning off unnecessary electric devices for 1 hour to hightlight environmental issues and lower emissions.

Seems to me that they should leave these unnecessary devices off...

    From Wikipedia:

"Earth Hour is an international event that asks households and businesses to turn off their lights and non-essential electrical appliances for one hour on the evening of 29 March at 8 pm local time until 9 pm to promote electricity conservation and thus lower carbon emissions"

Coolest part was google 'darkening' their homepage for an hour.

Actually what you did was fire thousands of pieces of teflon coated plastic around a field that you drove to from varying distances in petrol or diesel driven cars, probably picking up some food on the way which was wrapped in plastic or foil, which is all now going to landfill, if it isn't already floating on the wind somewhere. Not to mention the GBBs you were using were releasing hydrocarbon gas into the atmosphere and tearing up the grassy areas of said field to expose unseeded, fertile topsoil which will be blown away once a warm day with a breeze comes along.

    Just a little information...

After 12 years of using the same pc keyboard I was forced to buy a new one today. But...it just doesn't feel the same. The key spacing is a little different, the keys have a different sound when pressed and they feel different as well when pressed. I keep making spelling mistakes to, as I find myself pressing the wrong keys.

I think I'm actually mourning my old keyboard. I'm depressed.

    That's all...

Bring it, I'll go French on their asses and sink them. Ugh, I can't tell you how hard it is going out with a tree hugging hippy girlfriend when you're three biggest passions in life involve things with big engines, things that shoot other things, and sports where people get hurt. And given that my job involves repairing supposed "gas-guzzling" aircraft, you can tell there could be conflicts.
It all got too much one day when she found a copy of Auto Trader on the kitchen table and said if I ever bought a car she'd leave me.

The next day I drove to her house in my new car to drop her stuff off...

I know what you mean about the keyboard. I bought this one 4 years ago and it's been my baby since. It's gotten so much use the texture has worn off the keys so much that they've become shiny. The ironic thing is, even though it's the best, and longest serving, keyboard I've ever owned, I only paid 12 euro for it.

Could be much worse, it could be a Dell. It would only come with the most commonly used keys, and Dell would charge you an extra €40 for the rest of the keys. The keyboard would require special software to work, that used 500mb or ram. And the keyboard would come with 20 special functions keys that did things that you don't need.

Everyone, please stop feeding me cookies. At this rate I'm gonna gain another 1-2 belt sizes soon. But if you are going to feed me cookies, at least make them McVities Boasters please.

Find something that she uses a lot...something she can't live without. Then dig up some facts about it. Check what goes into making it, transporting it from country-of-origin etc. Use it as a bargaining chip the next time you want to buy a V6 powered flying airsoft device.

My old keyboard keys were still in perfect condition. Not worn at all which is amazing after 12 years. But, as tough as it was, it still lost the fight with the cup of tea. Stupid cat killed my keyboard.

I thought I'd cheer myself up by watching a movie. Decided on the 2007 remake of 'The Mist'. I won't give away what happens in the movie, but lets just say I'm waaaaaaaay more depressed now. Not a good day, but that's what I get for not dragging myself out of bed earlier and going to HRTA.

You have no idea how choosey she was. She'd only buy organic fairtrade clothes, let alone food. She was an eco-nazi. She was buying kiwis one day and I told her that Kiwis use more than their own weight in avition fuel to get to Ireland just because I heard them mention it on QI and it popped into my head.

She hasn't bought a kiwi since...

Your keyboards death reinforces my belief that cats are indeed evil.

Happened to me too recently. But it was with my logitech ball mouse. Had been using it for 10 years. I'm pretty sure the thing had worn away to fit my hand perfectly.

I reluctantly replaced it with an optical mouse. It's just not the same though :(

I was happy to get rid of my ball mouse. Been using optical mice ever since. the MS Intellimouse Explorer is my favourite so far. It broke however after only 1 year, so I'm using a wireless optical Logitech one now. Not as good, but it does the job. Eats rechargeable batteries though.

Boasters are good. But be careful, because the last time we discussed the subject, it transpired that Dex is a cookie snob, and suggested M&S. Then again, I did try to feed the bunch at HRTA some Tesco biccies, so maybe I deserved it.

Ate them myself this week, because I forgot to bring a packed lunch... :(

To be fair, I did bring up the issue of biodegradable bbs in a thread which I started recently, and out of which I gathered that Mr Lemming is the only other person who feels particularly strongly about going all-out bio-friendly. However, I still have to use up all my solid plastic bbs. And I don't car-pool on the way to HRTA either.

And who really uses GBBs on the playing field ;)
