Have to organise one for my sister. Anyone have any ideas what I could do, she wants to go away for a weekend I think just her and the two bridesmaids so need ideas, quicksmart. She's mentioned Carlow a couple of times so may head there. What does one do in Carlow for a whole weekend?

Right, I've been working on a magazine article about hen nights for a good bit of today and I literally have this stuff burned into my brain at this stage so I'll share what I've learned!

There's a good company called Posh Fizz who organise full packages for hen nights and they have a few different packages for Carlow. You can have a spa weekend or else one where you learn burlesque/salsa/pole dancing or else other ones where you get to do activities and stuff and hopefully have a bit of a laugh before you go out on the piss without having to resort to wandering around Carlow town for 48 hours! Here's the info about the treatments weekend and here's the info about the dancing one.

The company has a good reputation. I read about them on weddingsonline.ie (which you might want to check out as well - they have a whole forum on Hen Nights and there's bound to be a thread about what to do in Carlow) and interviewed the owner of it this morning and she sounded very good, really knew her stuff.

Another company that organises packages is The Fun Factory. Again, loads of different packages - learn how to make cocktails, rent a private cinema, go pole-dancing, visit a farm (!), etc. They don't seem to do anything in Carlow but lots of other places around the country if your friend is interested.

I'd say start with those three sites and you should get a good idea of packages and places that interest your sister
