Wall Jump in Rachat and Clank

Hi I'm havin no look trying to wall jump in one of the early levels in this game, it is the exploring corilla (speeling?) level anyone got any ideas?
I think it should work holding R2 and X but its getting me to the top of the steel gate/Wall

maby a bit more detail would help . . . are you tying to jump over this wall or something?

yeh its a big metal gate I think, its my kids that are going mad with it, a help prompt came up and said run towards the wall press X then press X again and that should do it but it does'nt work, I'm a bit of a tard when it comes to this stuff

Tks I thought of that already but did'nt search for that level I just tried wall jump, I will look through the vids and see what I can find.

Are the 2 walls opposite each other? You jump against one, press X when you hit the wall to jump against the other, repeat until you reach the top of the wall.
