I have attended a wedding in Florida (Irish couple) and from what I understand the process to organise the wedding wasn't overly difficult.

The couple got a minister to perform the ceremony on a edge of a lake and then the wedding party went to a local (upmarket) restaurant function room for the reception.

It was actually very memorable. Sun setting on lake.......

I think they needed some form of licence over there.

Why don't you contact a church of your religion in Florida and ask them if they can assist or give you guidance.

Some resorts will also help. - The usual budget constraints will determine where you should go.

Also you have to consider the number of guests that will attend as you will probably need accommodation and transport etc. for them.

BTW - Florida's a fantastic place to go to for the honeymoon.
