Or did I miss the news, or am I wrong?

Last night my lodger informed me that today is good Friday.
So I took a walk to the shops earlier and lo and behold, the pub and off licence were both open.

I had to check with the the good folk over in the Christianity forum, but it appears that it is indeed good Friday and the pubs are open.

    Amen to that.

Although it shouldn't be an issue, surely now you have more time to stock up for the famine?
