    Is there any local bus services apart from bus eireann that covers cavan?

    Wharton's in Crossdoney. Streamline in Lavey. Depends on where you want to go really.

    Bus eirann is really the main bus co. if you want to travel outside the county.
    there is no bus service as such around the county, totally depends on where you are heading. for instance if u were heading to ballyconnell/belturbet (north) then you cud get the dublin-donegal service as it passes through cavan.
    most other towns u wud get a taxi.
    i happen to have a '98 renault megane 1.9 diesel hatchback for sale (needs new starter) ;)
