Valid until Monday or stocks last...

I'm surprised to be the first posting this....

This makes the PS3 just over 300.... I am tempted. Please talk me out of it.

Probably they will all be gone by the time I get there...

The xbox 360 is set to drop to a lower price on Friday, the premium for €279 I think. It could be interesting if Tesco honour this drop before the weekend is over

Anybody see a wii in any tescos?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 642 ✭✭✭red_fox

I saw a few Wiis in Galway earlier this week, but I'm going to guess you're in Dublin...

    Would be unreal.
Would be able to pick up a premium for €210 basically if thats the case.
    Please tell me its true.

€269.99 in fact, so with the 25% is just over €200 and the rest vouchers back.

Worth noting that at €350 you'd end up paying just over €260 with the rest back in vouchers so you'd be better off getting it elsewhere at the lower price in a bundle.

if you're buying a 360 in tescos be careful that you don't get too old a model. they're still selling gears of war packs in my local tesco and those are 2 years old at this stage.

    Hi All,

Just got off the phone with Tesco customer service. Informed them of the forthcoming price reductions announced by Microsoft scheduled for this Friday 14th and asked if they would be honouring them. Expecting a phone call back on this!!! I will update here on the outcome.

    Cheers,

The advertisement on the Indo today clearly shows the new price and it also shows the price in brackets with the 25% reduction taking it to approx €199.It comes with two games too (well at least in Tullamore anyway).

I know a few guys looking at buying 360s now if the price goes that low i'm sure they'll be interested.

I work there, there's way more stock in the back, there's DS lites there too, just ask if there's none on display. there's also a wii bundle that comes with rayman rabbits and wii play for €310 (before 25% back). iirc there was about 15 wiis left, but they fly out whenever we get them

They have already gone that low, offer started this morning so you have been warned before they are all sold out.

So they are selling the 360 at the new price already?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 286 ✭✭Lockster

They are only selling the 360s at the new prices from tomorrow.

I was in Dundrum at lunch time and got a Black DS, I think that left them with just 1 white DS left. I also saw a couple of Wii while I was there.

whats difference between arcade and premium

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,642 ✭✭✭✭okidoki987

25% off only Games and Game Consoles.

    BTW
The people in the store don't need to know anything about the offer.
They don't give you the vouchers, they are automatically sent out by HQ at the next statement date (or supposed to be).
So even if they know nothing about the offer you will still get your rebate (vouchers) once you keep the receipt.

Biggest difference is that the premium comes with a hard drive and the arcade does not, but more info here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xbox_360#Comparison_of_features

I saw the add in the paper earlier, new xbox360 price is €279.99, which is €10 more than the rest of europe. That takes effect on the 14th. I think it comes with Forza 2 and Viva Pinata and you can get Halo 3 for another €10 when you buy the console.

I got a wii in tesco in bloomfields in dun laoighre.

It was 319 with Rayman Rabbits, Wii spots, Wii Play and a second wii remote. Then 25% back.

Paid for it with the vouchers i got when I bought the ps3 on their 30% back deal before christmas.

Now I'll just wait for these ones to arrive and put it towards a 360 the next time they do a deal :-)

BTW ps3 was the same forza and viva p pack for 279. Not sure if it has hdmi or not (I think that pack generally does though). Didn't see anything about the Halo 3 deal though?

I saw it in Galway, they had a yellow/red special offer A4 page taped to a box. I'd say it's everywhere but the staff might not know, get them to scan in a copy of Halo 3 and if the reduction isn't taken off when they ask for the money then get them to cancel Halo.

    The halo offer is everywhere.

No PS3's in Dundrum, Rathmines, Rathfarnham, Nutgrove, Bray, Greystones, Wicklow or Arklow as of 8pm last night (Thursday)!! Anybody spotted one in any of the other stores? Rang a few others and they didn't even know what a PS3 was!

Rang Tesco in Finglas. They have plenty of wii :D:D

Just a note to those who don't already have Tesco clubcards, don't be surprised if Tesco fail on their side of the agreement to send you vouchers in a certain months mailings...I bought a laptop in Novembers deal (stated mailing was to be February), sent off my completed clubcard application in December, and through protracted emailings in February was informed that due to delays processing the application I wouldn't get my vouchers in that mailing, and now won't see them until May. Thats quite the con when they have 240 euros thats owed to me, and was promised to be in my possesion for February (said so in the small print at the time)...also customer service proved to be completely helpless, apart from several heartfelt apologies (which makes it all ok). Apart from that these offers seem good!

The 5 games appear to be the 5 games in Wii Sports though.

The xbox deal is not that brilliant when you see the new Xtravision one.

They are selling the Premium console with a choice of 4 top games for €299. Games are Gear of War, Forza 2, Halo 3, PGR4 and 2 other games.

Why didn't you just pick up the clubcard in store, use the card stuck to the inside of the application form, and then send the application form in the next day?? I've never had a problem with any of my clubcard vouchers, nor has anyone I know.
