super mario on ds hidden levels

can anyone help me out on this ive finished the game 2 times but still see levels that i can play i know u can pat 5 star coins for some but theres other ones where there is no path to them can anyone shed any light on this

To get to those levels you have to find the alternate B route at the end of the level before it. When you do, you jump on a red flag and it takes you to the hidden level.
