Yeah, I'd be interested in taking part. Also there's one on foot.ie if you're registered there.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 3,951 ✭✭✭DSB

Never registered but probably will. How is that done? 1 point for a correct result, 3 for an exact score?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 13,224 ✭✭✭✭SantryRed

    Do it on here.

I can't register on foot.ie and to be honest there are a lot of muppets on there as well.

I was also banned, three times.

Granted, it was for saying pretty much what I said above.

    The pricks.

In other news, how does this Prediction League work? I'm not clicking that link to find out, so can someone please explain, cheers.

2 points for correct result (i.e. home win, draw, away win); 1 point for correct margin (i.e. home win by 2 goals, away win by 1, etc.); 1 point for correct score (i.e. Bohs scoring 3 goals, etc.). That gives 5 points for getting a game score right.

    Copied and pasted.

Where do I fill my form in?

    Right heres the deal.

Points are as DSB posted above. I don't mind keeping tabs on peoples scores and doing a weekly table if nobody objects. Alex from KPMG is our independent adjudicator.

    7 Mar 2008 Galway United 1-2 Bohemians
    7 Mar 2008 St Patrick's Athletic 3-0 Sligo Rovers
    7 Mar 2008 UCD 1-2 Derry City
7 Mar 2008 Finn Harps 2-1 Cobh Ramblers
8 Mar 2008 Drogheda United 2-0 Shamrock Rovers

We could make a thread per week, or just make a superthread for it where scores are totted up at the end of the week (I've no problem doing it).

Just to avoid potential confusion, I'm assuming that if you get a result wrong but get a score right, you get one point.

Eg - If I say Shels will win 2-1 and it ends up 2-2 do I get a point for predicting Shels would score two goals? Obviously I'd get no points for predicting the correct result or margin.

Besides, he kinda looks like Jazzy Jeff in that photo... which has good memories! lol

Pighead would like to enter this but understands completely if you feel he's a bit too good at predicting stuff and would probably run away with it. If theres any objections post them up in the next 7 minutes. Otherwise i'm in.
