[Physics Derivation] n(lamda) = dSin(theta)

Let's say this came up in the exam. Could someone please be so kind as to post up what would be required to get full marks? My book doesn't really have a straight up derivation.

Look at this You'd draw that triangle, and show the diffraction holes/diffraction grating.

When the opposite side of the triangle (of length aSin theta) is equal to the wavelength or some multiple of it, then you get a fringe, ie n[lambda]=aSin theta. And make some reference to constructive interference. Easy as that.
