    Ok.. Question: (Because I'm not feeling very original and this kept me busy for 10 minutes yesterday)

    7 children are being driven in a school bus. Each child has 7 schoolbags. Each bag contains 7 mother cats. Each cat has 7 kittens with her . Happily, each of them has the correct amount of paws provided by nature.
    Question: How many legs/ paws are in the bus?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,406 ✭✭✭✭justsomebloke

    seriously why the hell are each of the kids bringing in 49 mother cats to school, that's just animal cruelty

    [starts to ring the ISPCA]

    10992

    7 Kids = 14 legs.

    7 kids have 7 bags each = 49 bags

    Each bag has 7 mother Cats (7)
    Each mother cat has 7 kittens = 49 Kittens
    Therefore, each bag has 56 Felines in it.

    56*49= 2744 Felines

    Felines have 4 paws.

    10976 = legs/paws

    plus the 14 kids legs

    = 10990

    And I assume the bus has a driver with 2 legs

    == 10992

    Am I correct?

    1582 legs paws

    or 1584 if you include the driver
