Guitar Hero III Controller

Hey, I'm having huge problems with my Guitar Hero controller, and It's apparently a common problem. One of my fret buttons (yellow one) is not registering when I press it all the time. Anyone know a way I can fix it instead of just returning it which takes effort? thanks.

Wrap the inside ledge with electrical tape, put it back in, and it works. The Tape Acts as a Spacer to prevent the neck from sliding out like it was when the guitar was broken.
