send a text and ask, happened to me once and they topped me up, then again you could have sent it to a prick too, but its worth a try!

Get a copy of your bank statement showing the payment.
Call Vodafone customer care and explain what happened.
Arrange to fax it in as proof.

You don't need to fax it in unless they run into problems finding the payment. Just have your bank details handy when calling them up.
