I was only joking!! Ahhaha. Mental!

    Right so.

Why is a Jack Russel's tail meant to be approximately 4 inches long?

(P**s off hippies it's not mean to have it cut )

So you can pull him out of holes - I think.

I have one, I should know this...

*edit* and it is mean. My dog doesn't work. Why can't he have his tail?

well terriers are originally working dogs to hunt rats so I suppose going in and out of cover like other working dogs it would get cut and bleed if too long

Any hyper active dog with slender tails (JR, Boxer, Doberman) if being kept as a pet should really have it clipped. THey break them in bits from hitting them off things. My Labradors don't have them chopped obviously as they need em, and they are part of the dogs breeding. JR tails are like an unecessary add-on.
