Well what do you know, turns out Ronaldo has said that his mother did not make the comments regarding her wanting to see him play for Madrid.

Call me a cynic, but I wouldnt be surprised to see Real Madrid be behind this. Not too low for them to stoop. Not by any means.

Should be a cracking match if Spurs try to attack.

Wonder will it be a full strenght team.

so wellbeck is being treated as a first team member for the rest of the season eh, striking problem solved so....

So youre against the nurturing of youth team talent?

SAF and Carlos made it more than clear that we would not be strengthening. We have more than enough to cover that postion for the rest of the season.

He is meant to be an excellent prospect and training with the first team will do him no harm.

Lmfao, you sound like a deluded pool fan there, look, if either tevez or rooney (more likely) get injured we are up the ****s, saha cant be relied upon and i dont think a 17 year old who isnt physically strong enough (by fergies own admission) for the premiership is the answer. i am all for nurturing youth team talent, and id love to actually bring a youth player through cause its been a long time since we had a real success story there.

im not in the mood for a long debate about this so ill just say

we have 3 recognised proven strikers

    1 is constantly injured
1 is injured occasionally and is a vital part of the team
    1 is rarely injured

if anybody thinks that united have "more then enough cover" in the striking department they are off their ****ing rocker

where is this cover? dong? yeah great cover, im doubtful he could score in a brothel with a wad of fifty euro notes in his hand

yup, agree completely, im sure training with the first team will be of benefit to him, i have nothing against him at all, i really hope he turns out well! my problem is not that he is training with the first team now, my problem is that its glaringly obvious that we are one injury up front away from blowing a possibly great season and the answer appears to be a young guy who got pulled from the youth team, after they were knocked out of the youth cup, he isnt ready for the premiership (again SAF's words) and i really worry about having no back up

    Can't disagree to be honest.

I just can't see anything happening with only a few days left of the transfer window.

Rooney and Tevez will always be number 1. We only need to rely on Saha when Rooney is injured. When both are injured simultaneously - not going to happen an awful lot - theres always Giggs and Ronaldo who can fill in. I know its not ideal, but its better than bringing someone who isnt suitable just for the sake of bringing in someone. If Fergie wants Berbatov or Benzema, he will wait until the summer.

if pushed could probably play scholes or anderson up there too, but that's if really pushed :) Didnt fraizer campbell get a sub appearence this season -(was against man city). Fergie wouldnt push him if he didnt think wellbeck was ready. Hopefully he'll get 1 or 2 games anyway

Campbell is on loan at Hull, not doing too badly either, 6 goals in 13 games.

Fergie, rarely makes a bad decision for United... and if he believes we will do 'til the end of the season without getting another stiker, we will do just that.

Carrick and Hargreaves in the same midfield..... :(

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,688 ✭✭✭Nailz

What's wrong with that, Carrick is on a rich vain of form and Hargreaves is an excellent holding midfielder with plenty of speed, energy with a fantastic football brain (a holding midfielder with all that ability doesn't come round very often.

Have to say a bit worried about Brown in the center , Think Spur's front two will give us a few problems, but think we can go throught looking forward to a good game maybe 3-1 to United (egg on face time :D )

Just a bit worried that anytime ive seen them play together this season that our play through the middle has been dramatically slower than usual. But not to worry, we should have more than enough to beat Spuds...

    Cerny

    Tainio Dawson Huddlestone Lee

    Lennon O'Hara Jenas Malbranque

    Keane Berbatov

Subs: Robinson, Gunter, Defoe, Boateng, Kaboul,

No Ledley King. Very weak at the back so we should score a couple today.

The Spurs defence looks very, very weak and we should find that easy to exploit.
