Hey guys, was hoping you could help me pretty urgently.

Every website I go to that requires password entry or some sort of form entry (even submitting this post) says the information im about to submit will be sent over an unencrypted line or something along those lines. This has never happened before. Have I some sort of virus/spyware?

    Im really worried :(

It's just being Windows and warning you about every potential possible risk. Don't worry about it.

Download AVG and lavasofts spyware if you want to be sure to be sure.

Open the pc case (the box thing) and wipe it all down with a wet sponge, it should solve your problem. Might help if you leave it on while doing this*

*may or may not be a good idea

Ive ran Norton Anti-Virus, AVG, and Spybot S&D and although Spybot found a couple of things, it was nothing malicious and fixed them. I kept getting warnings about corrupt files, such as msnmsgr.exe or firefox.exe, and even spybot.exe while I was running it. So i ran all the checks and restarted, and the Chkdsk thing ran for about 15 minutes. Now I have no more corrupt file warnings but I have the 'unencrypted connection' warning all the time. Im just worried cos it never happened before, and I havent installed/uninstalled any new programmes to make it happen...

Sorry that was me. I was trying to hack into your washing machine and got a little lost. If your monitor goes into a spin wash at 30 degrees in a few minutes, don't worry, it's just me.

You're either on boards or you're not on boards.

Exactly.. thats the firefox option and i remember seeing that message when you install firefox first but once you tock the box not to show it again.. it goes away.

    Is the OP using firefox?

I could go on vacation, but who would make pop ups appear on people's screens?

I know that we have an opportunity and, er, to really help for the first time and effectively change people's lives, and I'm dedicated to that. I'm gonna, I'm absolutely, uncomprimisingly dedicated to that.
