Very sad at the news, Ledger was a talented actor and he leaves behind a little daughter.

He was outstanding in Brokeback Mountain, I believe he should really have won the Oscar for it in 2006.

Aye its shocking news alright.

Might be deemed cold saying this but IF it was a drug overdose, I personally find it hard symphatising. I have seen what the selfesness of drugs does to families and I just cant find my myself sorry for someone who chooses to use drugs. sorry if it offends anyone just my feelings on that.

IF it was suicide as mentioned in another forum then it is a sad situation. Its also a selfess thing to do but its not a choice to become depressed.

My thoughts are with his immediate family.

I don't think any actor I've actually thought was hot has ever died before.
I really loved "10 things I hate about you" when I was younger. Still quite like it. And I loved "Brokeback Mountain". Heath Ledger was a great actor.

I think it's just the fact that I'm used to old actors/singers etc. dying but this just feels so weird and wrong. It really sucks.

NEW YORK - Heath Ledger was found dead Tuesday in a Manhattan apartment in a possible drug-related death, police said. He was 28.

According to the New York Times, Ledger was found naked and unconscious with pills strewn all around him in an apartment owned by actress Mary-Kate Olsen.

NYPD spokesman Paul Browne said Ledger had an appointment for a massage at the apartment. The housekeeper, who went to let Ledger know the masseuse was there, found him unconscious at approximately 3:30 p.m. ET, according to the New York Times. After receiving no response from the actor after shaking him, they called authorities.

Reading his wiki page - not much there to shed light on what might have done it. Certainly there have been celebs with more problems.

I remember him in 10 things alright. But I was more interested in his co-actress... what a beauty.

Suicide though; this guy? Hard to believe.
