    The ultimate in tank warefare

    5bedroomtank.jpg

    The Stug House
High health and very slow moving, it has the ability to garrison units inside. The Stug House is armed with a 75mm high vilocity AT gun and 1 Machinegun standard. It is strong vs tanks and AT guns but weak vs Flamethrowers, explosives, and Artillary. (rather like a house)

They use Sig 550's and 510's. I have relations in Switzerland that have all seen through, or an in the process of seeing through, their conscription. Interesting fact about the Swiss army. The conscription to standing reserve system they have in operation made the Swiss army one of the largest armies in the world. All conscripted personell keep their uniform and rifle along with a tin of 50 rounds in thier house to allow for immediate deployment.
In my Aunts house over there, there are 4 active conscripted reservists, that's 4 Sigs and 200 rounds. Multiply that by 400,000 and add in a massive mountain range in all directions and you've got a hell of a job trying to take that place over.

They can officially opt out at age 30. They only have to see out 260 days of service. After that, it's up to them. Unless they become NCO's or commissioned officers, then it's around 600.

The Swiss Guards are an entirely seperate unit to the Swiss Army. They're not affiliated with each other apart from by name.

The "ready for mobilisation" system has never been used. It's only there as a standby should someone be stupid enough to invade a country more armed than Texas, with Mowag Pirahna IV's (Good God they're sexy) and F18's. Not to mention every artillery piece they have is trained on the mountains.

CB90H, it's a Swedish extreme littoral ship. Two Caterpillar Diesel engines producing 800bhp to two jet-ski type propulsion systems (meaning no props, hence extreme littoral). Top speed of 47 knots (about 90Mph) with the ability to perform a "crash stop" to go from 47knots to all-stop in 2 lengths. Troop capacity of 20+equipment, modular deck allows anything from carrying a jeep to turret mortars, deck guns, aa-guns etc possible. Twin linked, prow pounted 12.7mm machine guns, 7.62mm pintle mount on top. A draught (vertical distance from the bottom of a hull to the waterline at the lowest part of a ship) of only 2.5 feet allowing it to work in exceptionally shallow water and a forward bow section that opens out to allow the troops to embark directly onto the land via the fold out gangplank.

    Best.
    Ship.
    Ever.

The Swedish Navy also have the best looking corvette in history. The Visby class stealth corvette. Nasty piece of work too. And from test with the US Navy (they borrowed one for one of thier wargames scenarios) Swedish subs can't be detected by US ones. In the played scenarios, the Swedish sub snuck up on the USS Reagan and sunk it without the Reagan ever knowing it was there.
