Just use the lad as a shield, claymore the bejasus out of the wheel and pick off those in the open, i did it on hardened on my 3rd try doing it that way.

That level was fun, except for the chopper part, you have to pick him up to get in the bird, which I initially forgot (i was standing in the chopper saying where the **** is he?) then it clicked. So I went back to get him and he was too well camouflaged for me to see him, so they left while I was fumbling round in the long grass... pricks.

    lmfao

Took me loads of goes to finish this one too. i actually ran up to where there were. just past the fence and behind the first buidling so they like ran past and i just shot them all up from the side with an ak and dragunov. worked fine. Just had to fight my way back up when the heli's came.

I was also caught on this level. Playing the game on Vet and this defo had me stuck.

However, I found a quite easy way to finish it.

This works from the part where the helo is called in. You'll need the M14 and an AK.

IF you dont have an AK, just before the guys parasend in from the choppers, run around in front of the green mound where the McMillian is, there should be a few there.

Now run back over to where the dodgems are, the plan is to hide in the metal ride operators hut in between the Chernobly Eye (ferris wheel) and the dodgems.

The problem here is that you can hide in here, but getting out is a real pain. So here is the exit strategy. place all you C4 around the corner from the dodgems. There are a few trees there, place a c4 beside them, also place one on the base of the Ferris Wheel.

Go back to the hut. Get out the Ak, and go prone. Place your aimer so its looking out the door. Get ready with the return the bloody gernade button.

Just keep the aimer in the right place and you will get flashbanged, if you do, just start fireing off some rounds out the door and you should be ok. When the chopper arrives, just detonate the c4 and run over to McMillian.

Get the M14 and start taking out some of the enemies. Worked for me, but took a few times to get it right.

I just ran around to the far side of the bumper cars ride after the helo's arrived so there'd be only one way to get to me, and kept running up and back so I basically couldn't get shot and just launched grenades back when they were thrown at me. Then when the extraction helo arrived I just fought my way back to McMillian, picked up the lazy **** and ran to the chopper, was pretty easy on Hardened. Haven't tried it on Veteran yet.

Bitch of a level, I a playing on hardened and my strategy was to simply hide behind the dodgems and pick the bastards out with the sniper rifle and G3 assault rifle if they get too close.

I also tried hiding behind the door entrance beside the hole in the wall of the pool building. This ****ed me over though because it left me rushing towards mc griggin and running out of time.

I didn't bother using C4, but the claymore mines proved useful at the beginning.
I should try it on vet mode now:D

yeah that level is a bitch alright. But its what i've come to expect of CoD. They always have levels where you have to hold a position against insurmountable odds. But unlike the previous CoD's there isn't the dramatic crescendo of "band of brothers-esque" music when you complete it.

For me I held up at the ferris wheel, looking at the ferris wheel I was on the right, there is a stretch there without any railing, theres also the little ticket shack in front of you should you need to move over a bit for cover. I tried a few different locations before settling on this one. I found this one gave me a good vantage point to see people coming from both sides of the building (the ones that would run around the back and come out on the far right) Also, luckily, the ticket shack provided excellent cover from all the people in the helo that landed to my left, meaning I only had to worry about the people on my right.

For claymores I put one right where they entered from the left then scattered some near the cars (as when they explode near the cars, the cars also explode making for a larger explosion) I then placed 4 around the ferris wheel on each side. As a last ditch defense I threw all of my C4 around the ferris wheel stand. This ended up coming in very usefull when I nearly got overun near the end.

All in all a very satisfying level, and one i'll definitely remember.

On hard I did it this way -Claymores spread liberally around the bad guy entrance point (so that one claymore doesnt trigger the next ones) & maybe one or two on flank points and one near the 3 cars centre stage.

Make sure to take out at least 2 chopper squads completely as their feet touch the ground - this will keep the pressure off later on. Watch out for 'dags'.

As the bad guys came into view I was on the crest-ey hill/mound to the left to get a better shot - keep shooting and move back only when you have to.

I used the knee high concrete dividers to the left of the open area (as you stand where your bud wants to be placed) for cover.

Use that for cover and make sure you dont get flanked from either end and listen out for those magic words 'We are leaving in 30 seconds move it!' I made it through that on hard once and it was painful (had an ak and dragunov + 4 grenades). Will have to try it on vet at some point.

I actually found it easier on vet than i did on hardened. there's an excellent video on youtube that helped. I stayed behind the dodgems, claymored the ferris wheel stairs, the ferris wheel platform and the dodgems entrance. They try to come around the back of the dodgems so two claymores placed along the rear stopped them from coming.

From there it was just a case of being patient. If you can clear the troops landing then thats a major plus.

I find it best when the chopper lands to leg it to mcmillan, go prone and take a few out and then leg it between the booth and the rail to the chopper.

Much harder part was in the silo, when you need to go down one of two tunnels to get past a barrier. Its the part where griggs asks price what the russians are saying over the intercom. Theres two guys facing down the tunnels, one of which is bound to take you out. I tried the flashbang technique but that had various degrees of success. I found it a lot easier to grab the shotgun and use that to take them out. its suprisingly effective. just strafe past the tunnels to the boxes and take one out. strafe back and take the other out. only thing is that there *may* be a replacement coming up one of the tunnels between the first kill and the second. This appears to be random so watch your back.

I got pass this by hiding in one of those ticket booths that is in front of the crippled guy after you lay him down. Of course, this game been as "great" as it is, instead of the enemies coming up and shooting me (which would have resulted in certain death), they just sat back and threw genades at me, none of which hit me

Once the chopper came, I ran out and picked the crippled guy up and ran to the chopper.

yeah that bit nearly made me break my keyboard, because there is no way to kill one without the other shooting you in the back. What I did was flashbang one tunnel then run down the next unloading my SMG clip into the other guy and then the guy who replaces him, this all has to be done fast enough that the guy in the other tunnel doesn't recover from the flashbang and start shooting you again.

I used my sniper for most of it but whenever they tried to zerg me i'd whip out me ak47 and take em down. Basically i used the claymores to stop them sneaking up on me while i was sniping them and the ak47 whenever a load of them got too close.

I did the exact same thing with a bit of freestyling when all my claymores were gone. Watch out for that damn dog! it must have got me at least 5 times!

On Xbox on normal I was prone to the left of Griggs (Or whatever his name is) with claymores set up to the right (around the ferris wheel) to stop been flanked (it still took a few goes)

On Veteran I hid in the alley to the right, there is a inlet which is easily defended . At the end I used standard then flash grenade to make a path, still took many many try's . But I wasn't good enough for running around the ferris wheel .

The 9min nuclear level on Veteran at the end is very difficult, main advise is when not under fire in a new area stop running for a second or 2 to allow the game autosave (I found this by mistake), use your flash grenades a lot (there is plenty of refills) and you only need to get to the next checkpoint (not clear the rooms)
