Vista on ubuntu using KVM

Does anyone know if it's possible to run vista home premium in a virtual machine using KVM? I'm planning on trying this using ubuntu.

I know you can do it with vista ultimate, but I've heard that the EULA doesn't allow it on home premium. Is it likely that there's DRM built in which prevents you from running vista home?

I've done it on Ubuntu using Virtualbox & Ultimate Vista. Runs fine. My youtube vid here, Cant see there be anything stopping you with Vista home.

Only thing to stop you is the license. iirc it's verbotin to run Home in a VM.

Home Basic and Home Premium:
"USE WITH VIRTUALIZATION TECHNOLOGIES. You may not use the software installed on the
licensed device within a virtual (or otherwise emulated) hardware system."

Activation may be an issue (It generates the codes based on the hardware config.)

There was an article I read that said that it will refuse to activate on a VMware installation but will activate on a MS Virtual Server one. I'll try to find it.

why not do it the other way round? I use linux mostly, but my virtual machine is Vista, i use vmware to run kubuntu - works great and the lesser mortals can all use windows when they need the computer (saves me a lot of hassle)
