    There are restrictions on who gets a .ie domain. When you do manage to get one is it reviewed each year? Will you lose it if no content is put on it for a few years?

    No. That would be impractical due to the number of renewals.
    Will you lose it if no content is put on it for a few years?

    No. Although it's always nice to put some content on your domain.

    Just because there's no "content" on the main part of a domain doesn't mean it's not in use. A lot of people use domains for email only, future projects or simply run stuff of subdomains

    It's nice to put on something at least, although it's not compulsory.

    On my site, while I am waiting for the chance to develop a proper template for myself from scratch, i have just put on a readymade one that i got from oswd.org, which probably looks worse than a blank page. :rolleyes:
