My mum is going over to China in a bit and I was wondering if a Chinese iPod Touch would work over here or if I would encounter any problems using it in Ireland?

    Also,how much might it cost?

    Any help be appreciated... Z

i'm not entirely sure if they're available over there, China is usually one of the last places to get new electronics. I could be wrong though.

Yeah I don't think they're sold there. It's an expensive player for the chinese and their MP4 PMP market is quite large with the new Ramos v80 with WindTouch and the Onda vx players that are all touch screen too which are all much cheaper for them.

Did a tour of China in March 2006 , we went to Beijing , Xian , and Shanghai , I dont know what its like now , but then , major brand products in all the main shops were no cheaper than here.

There was a roaring trade in good quality fakes , but the genuine articles were the same price.

So it may be of no benefit to you to have one bought in China , also if it actually is sold in china , you will have your work cut out for you with language issues on the interface and all that.
