itunes/ipod question

Hi I'm trying to put music on my brothers ipod for him and it says that his ipod can only be synced to one library at a time and to erase and sync with my itunes library. is there anyway around this? without having to delete his music/photos etc

connect it back up to the library that the ipod is sync'ed to and turn off automatically sync with itunes library.

i think this is the only way around it, sorry but i don't use itunes so can't give a better answer.
