Heavy blocks in Donegal or faulty scales?

    A standard block is 20Kg
    A cavity block 24Kg
    An aerated block is <5Kg

Of course, there are different thicknesses available, the above relating to standard thicckness

Sorry SAS! Mellor is closer to the mark.

I calculated a band of blocks (44) was a tonne, but there are nearer 55 to a tonne which makes them just over 18kg.

It would vary depending on manufacturer,
my figures above are from roadstone and quinn
engineering blocks would also be heavier
