What did thought do??

Recentlyin conversation the famous saying came up, "Well you know what thought did", the person said "yeh, stuck a feather in the ground and thought it'd grow a chicken". I've NEVER heard this before!! It was always pi$$ed his pants and thought it was sweat.......so this got me thinking if there are a few more alternative replies?

What do you say?

My mother tends to alternate between the one about the feather growing a chicken and:

"He thought his bum was hanging out of bed and got out to push it back in."

Coincidently, I only found this website because I too was looking for other replies to this question.
