I've downloaded the Firefox plug-in that allows you to change the icons on your own computer but does anyone know how do I change the icon for my own website so that if other people decide to add it to their bookmark toolbar, the icon comes up rather than the paper icon?

That's called an ico file, you can download a plugin for photoshop to create them in Photoshop. This is the plugin if I am not mistaken.

Or if you go here http://www.htmlkit.com/services/favicon/ it will generate the icon and file for you ready to download and then upload. Make sure its in your root folder
