    Final Fantasy IV sequel announced

    But the announcement is likely to upset you, should you be a fan of FFIV.

    User duckroll at the NeoGAF forums has provided a scan indicating several details for a newly announced Final Fantasy IV sequel.

    It is set after Final Fantasy IV -- long after. You play as a descendant of Cecil named Theodore. It will be released in February 2008 in Japan on mobile phones.

    Yes, you heard correctly. Mobile phones. Square has shown mobile phones much love recently, with this announcement of a FF4 sequel and the previous announcement of a Parasite Eve sequel.

    There was probably a time before when I would've been surprised by them doing this but as we all know Square Enix is a different beast altogether these days.

    Hopefully it will be **** because there's no chance of the sequel appearing in europe.
