How many people have you found on boards?

I mean the types of friends you will go out drinking with, meet up with, outside of just boards.ie beers or something.

Ive been here a long time, so I don't think I can actually answer that, but its probably a pretty high number.

an ex of mine is a mod. we met, went out and broke up long before either of us found boards....

I'd know alot of the lads on the Martial Arts forum, I've fought & sparred with a few too.

Other than that, I've met Trout and some chic from the Pets forum (can't remember her username).

I think thats about it.

I know alot of the gurls here wanna meet me however

None, only people on boards i socialise with are people i knew before boards.ie
Then again its not like i have gone to any boards beers etc... I have met a few people on a couple of Ghost Hunts now and while i "would" socialise with them, i have not as its not practical etc.

I have maybe 10-15 friends that post on boards, none that I actually met through boards though.

None at the moment. I've worked with a few regular posters but they wouldn't be drinking buddies. One or two were rather sound and a few were spanners.

have two friends so far that i know on boards. i knew them before boards though. haven't socialised or attempted to on this. I don't see it as a socialising site really, still wouldn't say no to a chat from anyone on this... pm away...

I've found a small few friends through Boards, not many, but they're people I could trust and respect, proper friends. If it wasn't for geography, I'd spend a lot more time in their presence.

I have no boards friends, thank god. People off the internet are weird.

Disturbingly the amount of people I know and meet regularly through boards is quickly catching up with people I know from conventional channels.

kinda what he said... though i tend to mix teh two groups a lot...a nd some of my daily mates have accoutns on boards, though i'd rarely see them/talk to them online.

2/3 guys were using this forum that I happened to know via college before hand. I'd say there is about 20 people that I've met through boards that I meet fairly regularly in real life and about 10 of those would be good friends.

4 or 5 good friends. I'd go for pints with about 10 - 15 on a regular basis. Whether the feeling is mutual, or not is another thing.

My brothers introduced me to Boards.ie, they're the only people I know from Boards.ie (2 of them are site banned, though!)
I suppose i'm "friendlier" with those from the Parenting forum in that we exchange lots of private messages, even though I never met them.

lol. no. i just thought of it today at work and wondered really.
i have quite a few friends from before boards.ie started, during the dark days of lacerta and quake etc, but since boards.ie started, ive met a lot of people through boards that i consider friends.

although, i would never fraternize with mere users, they need to be at least mods, or ex mods

i did meet my wife on boards though. or should i say, re met her. we were in university together.
