Ok here is a mix from the many tapes i have, I think it’s from about 1992? There is no writing on the tape so i have know idea who done it? maybe a mate of mine, not sure. But anyway there are some great tracks on it. The only downside to this tape is the mixing is so bad but the tracks make up for it!

    so enjoy

How random.... iTunes here at work (in Sydney) has just random played a couple of classic tunes that I remember from many good nights in the Asylum and so I got all nostalgic and did a quick google and found this massive thread! I have so many fond memories of that crazy place....

I also did some artwork in there back in the day.....
Can any of you remember these little fellas......:D

There's also a snap of the DJ box too (with about a million UV handprints).

    More pics to follow.....

    Cheers
    Dave

Was talking to Mick Walsh last night and he was telling me that the design for these pics came from flyers he got in Amsterdam way back in the day. Says he remembers you painting them on the walls.

    Ok Folks, It's here ...

Ultra-rare / unseen Video footage of Sides DC, Dame Street, Dublin, recorded in December 1994. You will need a compatible MP4 Media Player to view it in all its glory. An External Sound System & Sub Woofer is Highly Recomended as the audio is High Quality Stereo AAC Format. The file has been tested on severl machines at different locations and works perfect, so, if you cant view it, you will need to update your Media Player. - The File is 32MB in size and will take a couple of minutes to download on a broadband connection.... (or you can jump straight to the low quality Youtube Version, - leave a shout-out there if you have an account - Thanks ;) )

Hehehehe . . thought you'd like it, (who's that mashed @ 7:00 on the clock ? ;) ) - Yeah, I did the lot from the ground up, almost 5 weeks work gone into it. The original soundtrack was not consistant, bits of tracks here and there, there was no flow to it and it sounded kak, so the tracks used (D.O.P & E-Zee Posse) were treated with some FX to match the visual. The 3D intro took 2 weeks alone, I used a google earth satilite map for reference, so it's pretty acurate street wise, though not 100% texture wise. - Kind'a ironic that I studied 3D Modeling & Animation in the Burton building next door to Sides on the corner of Georges St.. (The building shown in the video with the angled corner on the right hand side of ... er... Sides.)

Making Millions :( - Well, if you or anybody else knows of a company who wants to take me on, gimme a holla. - Nice1.

Ps - I got another new chip for me phone, same number, same service.

20 out of 10 for presentation alone. You'll not see a better big up to Sides ever. Love the intro and the security cam shots. I thought the music was rendered perfectly and perfectly in sync with the visuals. Great footage and some great memories came flooding back. And I'm still laughing here :D 7.00am? Is that what time that was? I would never have known. Now I really know why those pics on the wall in the Asylum were obscured so much, was it even the smoke after all??? Nice one again. Still have your number, no need to worry about that web site, I got it sorted. Pop in for a cuppa sometime will ya???

I'll make a few phone calls and see can I get ya sorted as a chief graphics designer in some multibillion corporation. You can even work from home. I know a few heads that owe me a few favours :D

I don't know what came over me that night. I got into Sides as usual. Took off my jacket and started boppin, then all of a sudden it got very hot for some reason, and then I felt a bit strange. I can remember seeing Caff and Mick and all but can't remember seeing a Cam corder, just light emitting mysteriously from someone's hands. Must have been something I atE :D People kept askin me was I ok. To which I replied candidly, "what do you meam am I ok? Of courshyrpif nsiuopwouh v (&^$*&%£ jidpfiahips ....!!!" Cant' remember anything after that

LMFAO - :p Your Google search - 'courshyrpif nsiuopwouh' - did not match any documents.

    Google Suggestions:
Make sure all words are spelled correctly.
Try different keywords / Try more general keywords.
Try ask the mad b@$t@rd to repeat himself.

(Yo! Jay, just between u&me) - I used some ...eh.... digital filters to ... eh.... erm... make you look that way. )

PS - Nice1 for the shouts so far from the members here regarding the video. Thanks Lads. ;) - M Walsh should be thanked for storing the tapes and keeping them dry, free from dust (ish) & away from direct sunlight all these years. I dare'nt hazard a guess as to where that was.... hey-hey / boom-boom.
