Online Video aspect ratio

What are the standard, if any, aspect ratios for online video? I would guess at 4:3 for standard (e.g. youtube) and 16:9 for widescreen. Is this correct or am I borrowing that from TV screen sizes?

Well, a quick screen grab of the viewable video space (everything above the control bars) in a standard YouTube video puts it at roughly 4:3, so I would imagine the standard video sizes ring true on the web as well.
