    Hey all.

I'm looking to set up a live webcam feed of my local town - as an add-on to a webpage I'm setting up.

How would I go about this tho?

Equipment - just the camera and connection?
    Hosting - and with who?
    Cost / Fees (annual, monthly)

Legality of it - invasion of privacy crap - there's always the one who complains
    Permission - and from who?

Here is an example of the type of feed I want to add in - it'll possibly be of the main street of my town.

    Any ideas?

    Camera + Connection + hosting ...

how often will it update ?

for example if its once a minute ... a simple plan from blacknight / hosting365 .. could be what you're after ..

a simple cronjob / windows task (the exact name eludes me at the moment) set up every minute to upload the next image and away you go ...

however I assume you want a "live" feed ...

maybe have a look at this ... http://www.commercialnetworkservices.com/streamingmedia/howtosetupawebcam.htm it was one of the first on my google for it

Thanks guys, will look into both. It's a long way off before I add this in tho - glitches and html code to fix first :(
