    They're E37 delivered with a 1GB MicroSD from http://www.supercardnds.com/ right now!

It says free delivery is 7-12 days, you can pay extra for FedEx or EMS too..

Seems the R4 is now "banned" for sale on dealextreme, it says it is sold out but if you read the comments you will see why. One of the site mods gives a link to the bundle packs that are still available before dealextreme remove the listings.

I ordered the R4 and a 2gb micro sd card from supercardnds.com on the 3rd of November and it arrived on thursday the 8th. I used the EMS option and it was still free shipping. Very happy with the service and the product.

Seems they can sell the bundles but not the single card, their site is hosted in the US and some crowd are threatening to shut down the hosting company if they don't remove the R4, but I get the impression that they will move there servers to a different country to get around the issue.

Where's the best place to buy one from now?

    Here
Got sick of waiting on Dealextreme (3 weeks and still not posted) so I cancelled.
Try http://www.supercardnds.com and order in US dollars (65 usd). Works out at about 46 euro including a 2GB Kingston Japan card and EMS postage included if you select that option instead of air mail. Took 6 days from ordering to the letter box.

Sorry guys hope you don't mind me asking about a different product here but I don't have a clue about it.
A friend recommended this M3 DS and I don't have a clue which is best it or R4 DS or what the differences are.

Just looking on Dx they dont seem to have any R4's inclusive of memory cards listed anymore just the R4 on its own

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,062 ✭✭✭wait4me

eireal: I think if you click on the DX R4 link it will shoot you off to the new site where R4's with memory cards can be purchased. AFAIK: DX are not, due to legal reasons outlined in above posts, selling the R4s themselves anymore ;)

Can someone help with a quick query. If I buy one of these R4 things will it act exactly like a normal DS cart (dunno if they even take carts!), as in will it slot in just like a normal game does? Does the user then choose the game from an on-screen menu?

Also, if I buy one can I use it with, say, a 512 meg card or less. Main reason being it'll be used to store one or two games at most for a child and thus there's no need to get a 1+ gig card.

    Thanks!

Yes it fits in where the game cartridges go - its the same size. A 512MB card would be fine for a couple of games - would easily hold at least a dozen games. The main advantage with a bigger card would be for playing videos - its possible to get say recored TV ,encoded to play on the NDS using this card. When the NDS is switched on with the card it goes into a menu to choose either games or other media that will run - its easy to use. ;)

Thanks! Sounds ideal, I'll be getting one I think. Any recommendations on where to get one before Christmas? And anyone know the cheapest place to get a DS in Dublin? I imagine it's somewhere like Argos etc, I'll do a search here but just in case I'm missing a bargain...

What's the story with tracking an order from http://www.supercardnds.com ? I have a tracking number with the HK prefix at the end and their site directs to An Post. An Post doesn't recognise the HK prefix and if I change it to IE they've no record?

I just put an order for 2 of the cards at http://www.supercardnds.com using ems as a shipping option for $22 more.

Any of you guys use this option?
They're xmas presents so I can't take the chance of them being late and I should've ordered earlier I guess

About to order but could someone look and confirm I'm getting the correct things. Firstly, from that Supercardnds shop this is what I'm getting (the first product):

    http://www.supercardnds.com/catalog.asp?catid=10544

Secondly, for memory purposes, and this is something I'm less sure about so all help appreciated, I'm getting this micro SD card:

    http://www.memoryc.com/products/description/512b_Transcend_Micro_SD_TransFlash_Card/index.html

    Will these work ok together?

And finally, have got some files ending in NDS...is copying these files onto the card and putting it into the R4 all that's required to get this going?

    Thanks!
