how come certain transponders come in at a strong signal and others do not?

for example on 19E I am receiving most of the D+ channels and a handfull of others but Premier channels are not coming in at a strong enough signal.

Is it a case of sat alignment or other cause?I have tried to enter the transponder details manualy but still no joy.

It appears it is the Bit Error Rate that is stopping the lock on the transponder.
I did rotate the lnb slightly and that did improve the signal strength a little but the BER remains on the premier transponders.

Not all transponders are same beam, power, FEC, SR or even same satellite!

You may need better dish alignment or a larger dish.

I checked the footprint of 1G and with a metre dish it looks well within range.

Perhaps i should try aligning yet again.
This is hard work this sat hobby!
