i've sent two emails to the "service" address.no response.no money. bank say it went through fine and i'm inclined to believe them as i use 365 for paying most bills etc no problems. not sure what wirecard are at. we really do need a propper prepaid card in this country.

Arggg, this is annoying to read, I need to transfer 300 to my card but I'm kinda scared now.

Why are yee still using the BOI account? That's where the problem is. They don't have someone checking it everyday and posting deposits to the correct accounts.

Use IBAN and the money goes straight to your account.

i use the boi account as dumbass 365online cannot use iban or international transfer and due to work i cannot get to the bank and wonderfully helpfull crew that they are dont open on a saturday! if wirecard advertise local accounts they should operate them. I put through about 10 transfers to the boi account via 365 no problem at all then got caught with this.

now all that aside if their customer service were helpfull or looked the thing up or in fact did anything other than say "no.....cant see any transfer............no.......not on our system........................" i wouldnt mind too much. and have just ignored all email communication. rang again this evening and got the above.

    Hi.

Just wanted to share my experience with wirecard.

I used it to order some stuff from Dabs.ie.

Opened an account & transfered the maximum €300 (I know, it was risky :) )
Transfered using AIB Internet Banking directly to their german account (i.e. using IBAN & Swift). Used free service since I wasn't in a hurry & it took only 2 working days - transfered Monday morning & it appeared on my account Wednesday afternoon, so don't see the point of using urgent payment which costs €15  .
But when I transfered the money, on AIB website it said due date Tuesday. So naturally I checked on Tuesday & there was nothing in my account, so I emailed them straight away (although on their website they indicate it could take up to 5 days.). They replied promptly asking to be patient.
Then, next day (Wednesday afternoon) €299 appeared on my account.

Successfully spent it :) & did another 2 transfers of €100 & €70 with no problem.

So from my experience, can't complain about them.

Just transfer using IBAN & include your Acc No & Tel No and everything will be fine.

Hope it helps somebody to decide about them.

    P.S.
Using AIB internet banking, money always reached my account next afternoon from the due date indicated on AIB website.

Yeah, I'm gonna transfer €300 now, for the third time, gulp, wish me luck:)

My money has disappeared as well. I checked with my bank today and all the correct details went through. I've rang Wirecard (no response from email) and they wanted my to send them a pic of the lodgement receipt I got from the bank....but they shouldn't need this surely!? I know its only a fiver but its annoying in the extreme.

Bond can you tell me how you transfer money?

Think I'll try to use IBAN from here on out. Was just looking at the Wirecard website re the local accounts and they've changed it. Before they told you that in the reference field you should include your account number now they say it should be the account number AND your mobile phone number.

Uh oh, didn't put my mobile in the field last night:o Hope they don't use it as an excuse to rob €300 on me!

Why do they need the acc number anyway if the acc number is the last few digits of the IBAN anyway?

You're not using the IBAN with the local accounts. Does it cost extra to do a EU/international wire transfer?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,151 ✭✭✭Thomas_S_Hunterson

AFAIK it costs the same for an EU transfer

The international rate is something ridiculous though

I transferred money to Wirecards BOI account last friday, and it still hasn't appeared in my account. Ridiculous.

I transferred €200 to their Dublin account from AIB on Monday. Now they've just sent me an email asking for me to verify my details spouting something about third parties. I wonder if they've lowered the €300-a-week limit? I actually need to transfer €400 but I planned to split it into two transactions specifically to avoid having to send them personal information. Besides, I probably won't be buying anything this expensive online again for the foreseeable future. Waiting for their reply now.

I was thinking of switching to using IBAN instead as it might process a little faster. Looking at the international transfer page in my AIB Online, what should I enter for the Receiver Name? As it's "my" wirecard account, would I use my name as it appears in my Wirecard account page?

Agreed. No one is responding to my emails. I have rung three times and got nowhere. I checked with the bank that all the details were correct on the lodgement I made. What else can I do? They keep telling me to wait...there was a german bank holiday yesterday apparently.

I just got the same email. Sent a snotty reply about it being from my own account and not from a third party. I send only €50 so it's nothing to do with the weekly transfer limit

God damn! Looks like its back to crappy old 3V with a hundred vouchers each with €2.32 left on them.

Did you send it to their BOI account in Dublin or direct via IBAN? I wonder if they're confusing their Dublin account with a third party. Or if they've closed it "again"...

Also, I didn't put my mobile number in the recipient's message field, because I wasn't aware of the change until I came here. It wasn't needed the last two times I transferred funds and they never notified me about the change.

Is it possible to deposit left-over 3v stuff into the wirecard account and then spend it from there, or put it into your bank account from there ?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 6,151 ✭✭✭Thomas_S_Hunterson

Yea, it's possible to spend ot from there, i don't think it's possible to put it into your bank account unless you accept credit card;)

I used to deposit left over funds on 3V vouchers into my WireCard account but they clamped down on that as well.

i recieved an email on tuesday asking for details of the transfer. sent on the info. no response no money. i also saw the thing about the phone no. nice loophole. obviously sending an email to account holders would be too much like work.

on a positive note 365 online is supposed to be allowing iban in "october 2007"

very disapointed in wirecard and i think something stinks.

hmm this will be my first time sending by IBAN do i need to go through the same process (Deposit Money>€300>Wire Transfer)?? or do i just send it and its their?.

    all i need is the IBAN# and BIC# ?

Yes I don't want to send it to the local Dublin account any more either. What do I need to do to send it the other way, with the IBAN? I don't have online banking. Did anybody lodge funds with Ulster Bank Anytime and the IBAN? It's all getting confusing!

Do I need the Routing Number also? Bond-007 help!

Does IBAN just mean sending the money directly to the bank in Germany?

Pretty much, it's an international transfer straight into the account corresponding to your wirecard as opposed to a common account from which the funds are sorted by the account number in the reference field, which seems to cause huge problems
