How to use .cur files?

    Okay, this is a total noobish question but I've never done it before. How do you use .cur files? I tried double clicking it, but that didn't work.

    An image editing software such as photoshop will open it. Right click on the file. Go down to 'Open File With' and select choose program and select the program from the list. If you do not have photoshop try paint.

    Thanks everyone
    by opening the files I basically meant how to use them so they could be my cursor :p

    Sorry about that. The only time I have used my own cursor is in an application I have written myself but I'll take a look around and see if I can find out how to do it for you.

    Got it.

    Open the Control Panel by clicking Start, Control Panel.
    Click on the Mouse icon.
    Select the "Pointers" tab.
    Select browse and go to the location of the cursor file.
    Double click the file and click 'ok'.

    That should do it for you (although I didn't try it fully myself as I have no cursor file to test it out with). Let me know how you get on.
