Bioshock ending? spoilers

Ok if you havent finished bioshock/dont want to know the ending dont read on. Well basically just finished bioshock last night.Thought it was very good but over hyped. I went down the route of harvesting all the little sisters bar one or two. Im still not sure on the ending. This is what I gather....Atlas is Fontaine.…

Im still not sure on the ending. This is what I gather....Atlas is Fontaine. Fontaine is the guy you fight at the end whos all spliced up. Then you get in the submarine and get to the surface and a spider splicer managed to hitch a ride?

Is this right or is this just too obvious. Im hearing alot deeper theories?
