    The problem hasn't changed. Unless Government funds it, it won't happen. If the Government had funded it we would have had it for 6 years+ already. It's not a BCI / Comreg /Technical issue but Commercial/Government funding issue. That's why the current Trial is such a hypocritical useless waste of money and time.

    another big yawnfest. it looks like a talking paper which will give very little in the end. and with no firm commitments or goals in it. was there not talk at one stage that the Irish DTT would be so powerful that a simple set top box would be all that was needed and an aerial would be an additionial bonus or am I imagining things?

    More areas with set-top aerials rather than roof aerials due to more repeaters and higher power. I thought at the time unlikely piece of hype.

    Our ITU allocations do allow for far far higher power than expected - sometimes in excess of the ATT powers. Now remembering that you can DTT on equal powers on the level where you've got black and white fuzz with mono sound, usually... but if that gets implemented I'll be surprised.
