    where to star learning...:rolleyes: and can some one please tell me the basics about all the art periods..i would be really greatfull of ANYHELP anyone could give me on the periods/artists/painting/sculptures/architecture etc etc..!sketches woould also be briliant if anybody could uploade some...but as i said any help big or small would be hugely appreciated!!!:)

    Been awhile since I was In school but I had a book called Less stress more success Art History everything you need to know is In that book.

    You really will have to invest in a good book to get the basic idea of all the movements....

    the likes of The Story of Art by E.H Gombrich or Arts and Ideas by William Flemming.

    I'd concur with the last poster. The Story of Art by Gombrich would be the best starting point for you. You will probably be able to pick up a second hand copy easily enough at this time. Check out the Students union shops on the main campus's they usually have second hand text book sales around now.
