Wii Update... Should we be worried?

    When I go to update it says "if your wii console has an unauthorized technical modification, this upgrade could cause inoperability of your console". I have got a modded Wii, is this gonna brick the console?

    Its supposedly safe enough to update, but im not gonna risk it till i know for sure. I only use my wii to play games so I dont feel the need to risk updating it.
    If you are using a Wiikey chip your config disk will not boot after the update.
