Photo and copyright question

Hi, Just wondering, If i take photos of something and place them in a book/calendar can i sell it? Say i took some photos of the Spire/Manison house liberty hall etc stuff like that? Am i allowed to re-sell those prints?

Can't see why not... public places and all that.
I'd say the lads over in photography would be well up on the technicalities involved.

No idea about this really ... but I'd say ... any public place ... photo is fair game ...

If the photo was with people in it you'd be in trouble if you used it commercially without their consent ...

But as was said .. ask in the photography forum

I know that the Hollywood sign is licensed for example. So if you want to use that in your movie/calendar you would have to get permission to use it. However, that is in America of course..

i done a search for hollywood istockphoto.com and none of the search results shows any pics of the hollywood sign on the mountain side, i taught there might of been some on istockphoto.com;
