But the regualr release date is still the 27ht yeah?

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 11 Franzo

Yeah still open's on 27th, but advance screenings on 20th (midnight - IMC Cinemas and UCI) 21st, 22nd, and 26th in all cinemas - sooooo basicly opens on 20th . . haha . . . still noting like seeing it first at a midnight screening - you could also show up 5 min late to the film and pick up you copy of Harry Potter!!! which is also released at midnight on the 20th . . .

Anyway I got my tickets for Dun Lao IMC midnight - so roll on Friday!!!

The above posters must be neo-ultra fanboys, heh. This was no way or form a 5/5 or worthy of "best film ive ever seen".

The "human" side of the film was utter spine tingling, embarassing, pathetic, cliché tripe. I had to look away from the screen a few times to escape the cringe moments.ugh

Although the Autobots and decepticons were amazingly done. Its worth the sit through to see them in action.

Rofl just as im posting, this flashes across skynews "New York Police say transformer explodes in midtown manhattan"

Heh neo-ultra fanboy, i'm pure G1 Transformers, and to be honest at the end of the day they won't recreate what we watched growing up, as they are appealing to another generation. But having said that what they did create was still a good shot.

Are there special screenings on tonight midnight in IMCs or Savoy? If so, how does one get tickets assuming they're not all gone (which they probably are)?

    Thanks.

I booked tickets yesterday for the Savoys midnight screening on Friday (€28.50 for three, that includes 50c each booking fee, so regular price in other words) :D

Well, the show starts at midnight but with ads+trailers Im sure the filmwont start til 00:15

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 11 Franzo

Yeah, IMC's starts at 1 min past midnight - when i asked one of the staff why - they said that the distributor would not allow any screening before 12 midnight, kinda funny . . . anyway like you say with ad and trailers (of which i am sure there will be a lot) prob wont start until 00:15!!

Saw it today for free. Best movie of 2007! That's not hard but still...

As has been mentioned there are some cheesy bits but who cares? Optimus Prime is the cheesiest of them all so who cares? The technology of todays cinema makes the transformers look...amazing really. The slow motion scenes are amazing. Decent acting, and great comedy bits make it a fantastic film.

    I recommend it.

I hope this brings back the Transformers franchise from back in the day...Hopefully they'll be a release of the origional movie...:D

Are there still tickets available for the midnight show in Dun Laoghaire? I rang the number on their website and its bloody automated, and when I selected friday it mentioned Transformers but no time.
