    Hey,

Just got bf2 and spec ops bundle. And am having a few issues with it. The game loads grand, but when the map starts the first 30 seconds to 1 mins go at 1 fps. I have not patched yet thought i doubt it will make a huge difference. Does anyone know the reason for this? The pc its being run on is in my sig.

    Chairs!

Your pc is **** and has to go, go buy a proper one :D

Thats normal i used to just hide for a minute till it settled down, its PB updating there is a way to stop it but after a few more games it goes away.

You will have to do a manual install and update of Punkbuster.

in your sig says you only have 1 gig, you defiantly need 2 for BF2. I used to have the same problem and when I added an extra gig no more problems at the start of the game. But I find BF2 unplayable in Vista and thats with a 8800gts 640mb.

*edit* Oh just remembered I used to lower all settings to medium and it alleviated the problems while I was waiting for my extra gig.

Hey, Silverfish brough round the new patch for me, as i have no connection at home yet :( And i added another gb of ram. The game now loads in seconds. Icant believe how another gig of ram has made such a high performance increase.

2GB is not necessary for BF2, I managed to play comfortably on 512MB. Though you probably won't see snipers lol

You got tea... well, tea making facilities...and processors > cake.

Back on the topic of Anti and his issues, now resolved by more ram and patches and punkbuster manual updates.
