does anyone here know of any specific problems with these ??
i have port 1723 passing through on my netopia , i cant seem to find any reference to protocol 47 anywhere on the router.

i have checked my config using a netgear router , which works fine , so i have isolated the problem to the netopia.

no doubt when i ring eircom tomorrow they'll be as much use as a chocolate teapot.

    anyone ??? pretty please?

Yeah I don't think eircom offer vpn access to home users. Or am I wrong?

My missus accesses her works VPN (Checkpoint VPN-1) with no problems whatsoever through my Eircom connection. I have a Buffalo router though (got broadband when Eircom were only supplying ZyXEL modems), but didn't have to do anything on the router that I remember to get it to work.

EDIT: just checked .. I had to enable "IPSEC Pass Through" on my router. No idea of such a thing is possible on the Netopia.
