I've my broadband with BT using a dlink modem/router. I want to get Blueface VOIP to ring my brother in the US. Blueface have a nice offer on the Siemens C450IP phone €149 with €50 credit. Is this phone any good or should I get an ATA and use my ordinary phone. Or should I try something else?? Whats the best hardware solution?

    Thanks
    Ger

    Hi Ger,

This phone is nice for a residential use, definitely. I tried that one personnaly. I read good comments about this range of Siemens phone on the Internet.
One of the good point is that you can connect your VoIP and ordinary line with it so you don't need two phones.

If you already have a nice ordinary phone, the choice of buying an ATA is not bad either.
I reckon that the call quality will be roughtly the same with ATA+phone and an with IP phone.
